3 Prospects (Ke’Shawn Vaughn, Dexter Williams, Nathan Meadors) Slated To Visit Notre Dame Next Weekend

Notre Dame’s next big recruiting weekend will take place next weekend, Friday, January 16th-Sunday, January 18th. The Irish will host three prospects: RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn, RB Dexter Williams, S Nathan Meadors. Here is an update on each of next week’s visitors:

Running Back Ke’Shawn Vaughn – Nashville, TN (Pearl Cohn)

3-star Running Back Ke’Shawn Vaughn recently appeared on Notre Dame’s target list.

Vaughn hails from Nashville, TN and plays for Pearl Cohn High School. He holds offers from Notre Dame, Louisville, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Arkansas State, Austin Peay, California, Duke, East Carolina, Illinois, Kentucky, Marshall, Memphis, Mercer, North Carolina, Ohio State, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Experts currently list the Purdue Boilermakers as the favorite to land Vaughn.

Running Back Dexter Williams – Winter Garden, FL (West Orange)

4-star Running Back Dexter Williams committed to Miami (Fla.) on April 12th of last year. Despite his commitment to the Hurricanes, Williams visited several schools, officially and unofficially. In early January, he disavowed his pledge to Miami (Fla.) and reopened his recruitment.

The 4-star Running Back hails from Winter Garden, Florida. He plays for West Orange High School. While at West Orange, Williams received offers from Notre Dame, Louisville, Miami, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, USC, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.

To land Williams, the Irish will need to fight off Bobby Petrino at Louisville, Al Golden at Miami (Fla.) and Jim McElwain at Florida.

Additionally, Notre Dame’s position with Williams could change immediately if other Irish targets — Soso Jamabo and Jordan Cronkrite — fall into the fold.

Safety Nathan Meadors – San Bernardino, CA (San Gorgonio)

Notre Dame needs to land another Safety before the conclusion of the 2015 class. Nathan Meadors is another option at Safety.

Meadors hails from San Bernardino, California and plays for San Gorgonio. He holds offers from UCLA, Notre Dame, California, Boise State, Oregon, Washington, Arizona State, Colorado, Fresno State, Nevada, Oregon State, San Diego State, UC Davis and Washington State.

UCLA is currently the favorite to land Meadors. He is slated to visit the Bruins on January 30th. Meadors already visited Boise State and California on November 15 and December 12th respectively.
