Berkland played outfield and also caught during his three-year career for the Big Ten team. This past season, Berkland batted .293 with 10 doubles, 14 home runs, a team-high 53 RBI, and a slugging percentage of .546 in 52 games. Berkland was arguably the best hitter for Minnesota this season.

The timing couldn’t be better for Corrigan and his family as the longtime ESPN employee moves into an oversight role as senior vice president of sports production. “It's kind of fun to be back in Indiana doing this,” Corrigan said Thursday, June 12, in a phone interview. “The Notre Dame connection is everywhere.”

Notre Dame football hosting 2027 quarterback Keegan Croucher

Notre Dame had what will most likely be its biggest official visit weekend in June this past weekend, but that doesn’t mean they’re resting on their laurels now that it’s over. The program also hosts recruits this week, starting with 4-star quarterback Keegan Croucher.

Croucher visited South Bend on Monday and threw for the coaching staff. Head coach Marcus Freeman has not been shy about welcoming 2027 recruits, and Croucher is not the only quarterback to come in and throw for the Fighting Irish this month.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish add staffer to women’s lacrosse team in Marina Miller

The Notre Dame women’s lacrosse program announced its newest coaching staff addition earlier this week. Marina Miller joins the Fighting Irish after spending the last two seasons at Davidson and Clemson.

We are excited to announce the addition of Marina to our staff,” Notre Dame Fighting Irish Head Coach Chris Halfpenny said in a statement. “She has learned under excellent mentors that I have great respect for at Penn State, Richmond, Clemson, and Davidson, as both a player and assistant coach. We’re looking forward to her using those experiences to develop our players and team as we compete for conference and national titles. Her passion for coaching, her IQ and love for the game, and her strong communication skills are all qualities that will help her be successful as our next assistant coach.”
