Gunslinger 'fell in love' with Notre Dame football coaches

Notre Dame football is hosting one of the top 2026 quarterbacks in Brady Hart but it sure seems like he already knows South Bend is home.

Notre Dame football fans can mark the Pot of Gold Day as the beginning of their new push towards locking up a top of the line 2026 recruiting class. One of the targets the Fighting Irish are going after the hardest is quarterback Brady Hart.

The good news there is that the push for one of the top quarterbacks in his class seems to be going well. Even before this week, Hart seemed sold on what Marcus Freeman and company have to offer. Now he’s coming back to see more of what South Bend could mean to him.

If his comments ahead of his Wednesday visit are any indication, there’s no guarantee he won’t leave town without having offered a commitment. That’s because in his own words, Hart already really likes the relationship he’s been able to forge with the Notre Dame football staff.

When he sat down and spoke with 247Sports, he talked about those relationships and which one stood out the most.

“Pretty much everybody on the offensive staff,” Hart said. “Had some great conversations with coach Gino (Guidugli), the quarterbacks coach, and coach (Mike) Denbrock, coach (Marcus) Freeman. Yeah, it's just I really fell in love with that staff.”

Notre Dame football looks like a shoo-in for Brady Hart

Now Hart is going to come meet the staff in person. He’s also going to get up to see the campus and what the college has to offer. He’s just the latest highly touted prospect to come to town as Notre Dame works to stock up its 2026 class

There’s one more interesting wrinkle for the Brady Hart visit. He’s the quarterback who will be throwing to a former Ohio State commit receiver who just recently became a free agent. The two Cocoa teammates are almost certainly busy comparing notes this spring on the schools they like the most.

It couldn’t hurt to get Hart to commit to the Notre Dame football team and then go to work on Trayvan Boggs.
