The Notre Dame football team is having a very good run when it comes to its 2025 recruiting class. More sites than not considering the Fighting Irish to have the best 2025 class in the country.

If Marcus Freeman and company get their wish, it might be a story of the rich getting richer. That’s because 4-star defensive lineman Christopher Burgess Jr just announced his top four schools and the Golden Domers are right there in the running.

Burgess announced through Rivals the final four schools he’s considering and it should surprise no one that all of the schools chasing him are among the best in the country. In addition to Notre Dame football, the defender said that Michigan, Alabama, and Ohio State.

Those are tough schools to beat. And yet, it’s possible that Notre Dame football should be considered the favorite to land the 4-star prospect out of Illinois.

While there are no sites that have put in official predictions yet, it looks as though Rivals believes there a chance that the Irish are the early favorites. That might be because Notre Dame has one of the best peer recruiters in the class in quarterback Deuce Knight

Knight, who also happens to be one of the best quarterbacks in the entire class has made no secret about wanting to help put together a legendary class. A class that ranks right at the top of the country. He’s worked hard on other prospects.

On3 also has the Irish as the unofficial front runner, but they’re certainly not running away with it. The grouping of final four appear to all be in very good standing.

The good news is that the mystery as to who Burgess is going to pick is going to end soon. The Notre Dame football program hopes it’s the winner when he announces his commitment on January 6.
