It’s been rather obvious that since Notre Dame football’s Pot of Gold Day, Marcus Freeman and company have ramped up recruiting of the 2026 class. Now one of the top targets from that recruiting cycle has finally scheduled a visit to see what South Bend offers.

When it comes to Jayvan Boggs, getting him into town has to be the first step in a long journey towards getting him to commit. That’s especially the case, considering the former Ohio State commit has said he won’t be a free agent all that long.

According to On3’s Mike Singer, the 4-star wide receiver has decided to come to see what the Notre Dame football program offers on April 19. That visit will be a multi-day stay, allowing the Fighting Irish coaches to roll out the red carpet.

Part of the receiver’s visit will include the annual Blue-Gold Game. He will officially be the 15th recruit to take in the game. Always a big recruiting event; the culmination of spring practices just got a little bit bigger.

Notre Dame football finally gets a visit from Jayvan Boggs

The recruitment of Boggs has definitely ramped up for the Notre Dame football program since he decommitted from the Buckeyes but it’s also become clear that the Fighting Irish are hoping he can be part of a package deal.

The Cocoa product has made no secret of potentially going to the same college as his teammate and starting quarterback Brady Hart. Hart was in South Bend this past week and by all accounts, absolutely loved what he got to see.

However, things aren’t in the bag for either highly touted 2026 recruit as Hart immediately went to see the Florida Gators after Notre Dame football. It’s going to be a challenge to pull either prospect away from their home state. A trip for Jayvan Boggs to see campus is a start.
