The Notre Dame football team has one of the best recruiting classes in the country. That is, depending on the recruiting service, they’re not right at the top of the rankings. In regards to one service, their grip on frist place in the rivals ranking got even stronger with a recent reshuffle.

The Irish also have 22 commitments in their class. That means for the second straight year, the class is almost complete before the summer even begins. But there are a few spots left. It seems as though 4-star safety JaDon Blair could fit into one of those openings.

The good news there is that Blair seems to have an opening for the Notre Dame football program. The 6-foot, 4-inch and 190-pound member of the secondary has set his commitment date for July 5th, but before he pulls the trigger,  he will make several official visits.

One of those will be to South Bend, at the beginning of June, but there is more good news for the Fighitng Irish.

Notre Dame football about to lock down one of the best defensive backs in the country

On3’s Steve Wiltfong logged a prediction for Jadon Blair to eventually commit to the Irish earlier this week after getting a chance to speak with him.

Blair is viewed highly among recruiting circles, as he’s ranked as the No. 160 overall prospect and 13th best safety in his class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Should the Irish manage to lock down Blair when he comes to South Bend, it would be yet another massive get for a secondary that is having quite the year at that position group. Blair would be a nice compliment to the last prospect they landed in cornerback Mark Zackery.

This is one that should be watched closely by Notre Dame football fans over the next few weeks.
